Our work to lift literacy levels would not be possible without the generosity of our volunteers, who give their time and skills. While we are not looking for volunteers in remote communities, we regularly post here who we’d like to help us run the charity. Here’s who we need at the moment...

Marketing Assistant


To work one day a week for at least 3 months in our Sydney office, starting immediately. You need to be organised, proficient in Mac computers, and able to work to deadlines. You will be helping the Marketing Coordinator with fundraisers, social media, copywriting, telemarketing, website, graphic design (optional) and other administrative tasks such as filing, mail merge, packing kits and stocktake. Graphic Designer


To work one day a week for at least 3 months in our Sydney office, starting immediately. You must be proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator), to create Marketing collateral such as brochures, newsletters, social media assets, image touching, t-shirt design and more. Click here for more information and to apply.

Research Project Manager


To work one day a week for at least 3 months in our Sydney office, starting immediately. We are looking for someone with Salesforce experience and market research / social research experience to prepare and facilitate a stakeholder analysis. This will include an analysis of the current ILF database and running of focus groups. Click here for more information and to apply.

Event volunteers

From time to time, we have fundraising events where we require volunteer support to represent the ILF, help set up and pack down an event, collect donations and manage the information and bookstand. Email the following details if you would like to be on call for these opportunities:
