Our work to lift literacy levels would not be possible without the generosity of our volunteers, who give their time and expertise. While we are not looking for volunteers in remote communities, we regularly post here who we’d like to help us run the charity.
Event Volunteers - Byron Writers' Festival (Byron Bay)
We're the charity of choice for the seventh year in a row at the Byron Writers' Festival. We are seeking friendly and energetic volunteers to represent us. The role requires you to be an excellent communicator, and confident in approaching festival patrons to collect donations.
Tasks include helping set up and pack down our information tent, distributing flyers, responding to basic queries about the Foundation and collecting donations. You will receive a full briefing about the Foundation and have a chance to experience some of the fantastic festival program!
The festival runs from Friday 2 August - Sunday 4 August at the Elements of Byron. You may choose to volunteer all three days or less. Shifts are on offer from 8:30am - 1:00pm and/ or 12:30pm - 5:00pm each day.

Marketing Assistants (Sydney)
We're seeking reliable Marketing Assistant volunteers to work one day per week for a minimum of three months. Tasks might include copywriting, preparing collateral and powerpoint presentations, calls, scheduling social media, stocktake and other administrative tasks. This position requires an organised person with excellent communication, proficiency in Mac, and the ability to work independently to deadlines. If this sounds like you, get in touch!
