This NAIDOC Week, Doncaster Westfield in Melbourne is bringing to life, the Great Book Swap, with a traditional Digeridoo performance, kids face painting and boomerang craft.
The Great Book Swap is a fantastic way to raise much-needed funds for remote Indigenous communities, while also celebrating reading in your local community. The idea is to swap a favourite book in exchange for another, for a gold coin donation.
Doncaster Westfield is encouraging customers to bring in pre-loved books to donate to the Great Book Swap between Monday 9th July – Friday 13th July. Then on Saturday 14th July, customers come back with a gold coin donation to take a pre-loved book home. There will also be a traditional Digeridoo performance, kids face painting and boomerang craft.
