Garden Life, a nursery and design centre in St Peters, Sydney combines the love of landscaping, design and plants to create award-winning gardens.
The Founder of Garden Life and ILF supporter, Richard Unsworth, has been hosting guided bush walks and lunches in Pittwater, on the Elvina track for the last 12 months.
Even with the challenges of holding such tours throughout lockdown and the lingering effects of COVID-19, Richard has continued to use these bush walks to raise money for the ILF.
Passionate about the local natural area and environment, Richard wanted to help connect participants with the beautiful landscape of Ku-ring-gai National Park.
Together with a local guide and bush expert they explore and discuss plants, their habitats and possible uses.
The Ku-ring-gai National Park is home to many significant Aboriginal sites. The group is able to soak up the serenity of the beautiful bushland.
After a morning walk, guests return to his house in Lovett Bay for lunch and a garden tour. Richard is delighted with the response to date.
“It's been really popular so far and we’ve raised nearly $15,000 for the Foundation.”
This money raised will have a big impact in our work to provide literacy opportunities for remote Indigenous communities.
Thank you Richard and Garden Life for your commitment to the ILF vision and valued contribution.
