“The gift of reading is the gift of life.”
— Kiara Jones, Early Learning Educator, Ngaanyatjarraku Shire playgroups, WA
As 2019 draws to a close, our Foundation is asking for your support.
Since 2004, we’ve delivered more than 350,000 quality, culturally appropriate books to over 280 remote Indigenous communities.
In 2020, we hope to expand our Book Supply program and gift a further 95,000 new books to schools and service organisations in places across Australia where books are few and far between.
But we can’t do this without your help. We receive no government funding and rely solely on the support of our generous donors, sponsors and partners.
This giving season, you can help us supply books to thousands of families around the country by asking your friends and family to contribute to filling a ‘virtual bookshelf’.
It’s very easy. And it’s fun too!
“The changes I’ve seen since our relationship with ILF began include recognising the value of learning to read and how that can create opportunities for the children’s future.”
— Kathryn Leo, Principal, Milikapiti School, NT
These children are the voices of our future, and together we can make a difference.
Our vision is equity of opportunity. Our belief is that reading opens doors!
