Embrace Stories from First Nations Authors

Embrace Stories from First Nations Authors

ILF is excited to launch our inaugural Reading Opens Doors Library! The library consists of 17 books including award-winning books by contemporary authors Bruce Pascoe, Anita Heiss and Tara June Winch, among others.

The collection includes children's picture books, young adult novels and adult titles and is presented in a beautifully designed, mobile library shelf that you can display in your boardroom or staffroom.

The library provides easy access for your staff to learn more and engage in First Nations peoples' triumph and challenges, and creates opportunities for workplace book clubs and discussions with colleagues and families. It may also fulfil some of the actions in your organisation's Reconciliation Action Plan.

Every sale supports the Indigenous Literacy Foundation to continue delivering its three core programs in remote and isolated communities across Australia:

  1. Book Buzz, a program focused on pre-literacy skills for babies and toddlers
  2. Book Supply, which ensures kids have access to culturally relevant books, and
  3. Community Publishing Projects, which support communities to publish their own stories in languages of their choice.

With NAIDOC week around the corner, now is the time to inspire your workplace with First Nations peoples culture, stories, histories and languages.

Pre-order today $420 plus postage for delivery mid July.
