Michael O'Loughlin & Alison Lester sign up as ambassadors
We're delighted and enormously proud to announce two fantastic new ambassadors to our program.
Alison Lester currently shares the Australian Children's Laureate with Boori Monty Pryor and has travelled and worked with kids of all ages in remote communities for the past 15 years. This year she conducted a special workshop for kids from Wilcannia.
Michael O'Loughlin is one of Australia's best known AFL players and a strong advocate for the importance of reading and books.
The Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) acknowledges First Nations peoples and recognises their continuous connection to Country, community and culture. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and honour the sharing of traditional stories passed down through generations. In particular, ILF acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which our head office is based in Sydney.
