Mudgee Readers Festival

On 13 and 14 August the Mudgee Readers' Festival will bring an exciting line-up of Australian writers to central west New South Wales.

They include 2016 Stella award-winner Charlotte Wood, David Dyer, winner of the NSW Premier's 2016 Indigenous Writers Prize Ellen van Neerven, Charlotte Nash, James Knight, Kate Forsyth and Sami Shah.

Here at the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, there are two events on the bill that we are particularly excited about. Entry to these events are via a gold coin, and the proceeds will go to our Foundation.

Art for Poetry's Sake, where a number of talented writers from the region will offer their interpretation of contemporary Australian poetry by Ellen van Neerven, Fiona Wright, Alison Whittaker and Jorie Ryan.

  • Art for Poetry's sake takes place at The Stables on August 5 from 6pm. Click here to secure your place.

In Poets Aloud, the poets themselves: Ellen van Neerven, Fiona Wright, Alison Whittaker and Jorie Ryan will read from their own works in an event hosted by Geordie Williamson.

  • Poets Aloud takes place at The Stables Exhibition Space on August 13 from 12:45pm. Click here to secure your place.
