The Indigenous Literacy Foundation is involved in a number of programs in
remote Indigenous communities around Australia.
- Book Buzz is a literacy strategy that provides
babies, toddlers and preschool children with access to a wonderful set of 12 early
childhood books. These books are selected by our Indigenous literacy specialist
and childrens’ book specialists from within the Book Industry.
- 'Book Supply' provides culturally appropriate
books and literacy resources to schools and individual kids in more than 200 remote
communities across Australia.
- Community Identified
Literacy Projects are an opportunity for communities to identify a literacy
need and develop, produce and record their own literature or other literacy resources
with particular significance to that community.
